We export $33 billion annually to the United States, what represents only 2% of Brazilian GDP.
Still, $33 billion is a significant volume for business and employees. If the new tariffs remain in place, this number is expected to drop sharply, hitting several industries, causing job losses, and pushing Brazil further away from the U.S. Atlas
While countries like Argentina and El Salvador are cutting tariffs to attract investment and boost growth, Brazil’s president shows little concern for international trade — isolating the country and reinforcing stagnation, as we move closer to China and Russia.
